The third way to make money even if your an ex-convict is to money on the Internet. For example you can start doing paid survey, expect to make around a couple hundred dollars a month during your spare time.
Or you can do data entry, which is very easy to do and requires no skills. If you can sell e-mail that you can do data entry because it's plentiful.
